Performance-Based Search Fees

At NextGen, we believe that the traditional time-based fee structure of large retained executive search firms lacks alignment with actual performance metrics and the success of the hire. With our commitment to transparency and fairness, we propose a performance-based fee model that prioritizes delivering results.

Our fee structure is designed to reflect the effort, complexity, and resources invested in securing the right candidate for your organization. Rather than upfront payments based on arbitrary timelines, our fees are tied to specific milestones that signify progress and success in the search process.

Here's how it works:

Initial Deposit

Upon engagement, a nominal initial deposit secures our services and kickstarts the search process.

Candidate Shortlist Approval

The second invoice is issued when you, the client, receive and approve the candidate shortlist, signaling readiness to proceed with interviews.

Employment Commencement

The final invoice is due upon the commencement of employment for the new hire, ensuring our fees are directly linked to the successful outcome of the search.

Furthermore, our commitment to accuracy and transparency means that we only provide a fee quote after completing a thorough Discovery Step, ensuring that our pricing accurately reflects the scope and complexity of your specific needs.

With NextGen, you can expect clear, honest, and straightforward fees tailored to your unique requirements. Our average fees for different types of searches are as follows:

  • Succession Bench Search: $150,000 to $250,000
  • Retained Search: $75,000 to $150,000
  • Engagement Search: $45,000 to $75,000
