Overview of the Role

We seek a principal power engineer willing to lead a team in full life cycle development, topology selection and exposure working within a regulated environment to produce high performance power conversion and distribution solutions. This group designs and develops flight critical equipment and products. Position is based in Seattle Eastside, WA.

Performance Objectives

The overriding business objective for the Principal Engineer Aerospace Power Electronics Design will have experience with cradle to grave (clean sheet) full life-cycle development and understand PFC (Power Factor Correction) and Topology selection. Candidates should have solid detailed design experience with innovative power products. Not interested in high level managers, project engineers or program managers.

Target Candidate Profile and Requirements

Candidates must have BSEE and a minimum 10 years’ related experience. An expert level understanding of power electrical/electronic circuits, design and development is a must. You have a solid working knowledge in magnetic component design, requirements capture, analysis and tracking, as well as tools such as OrCAD, SPICE, PSIM, ANSYS, Simplorer and Maxwell. You must be a US citizen or green card holder under the requirement of ITAR rules.
